One of the most frequently asked questions we get at Slush.co.uk is, "How can I perfect my slush machine mix ratio?"
We’re pleased to inform you that it's super easy to strike a great balance with your slush machine mix ratio, especially with our delicious syrups.
Firstly, it’s very important that you use the correct dilution ratio recommended for the syrup, because using too much water can force your slush to over-freeze and may result in damage to your slush machine.
If you don’t use enough water, your slush won’t freeze enough, and it can result in a very strong flavour that will be far too sweet to enjoy.
The Optimal Ratio
Slush machines work based on the consistency of the drink and not the temperature.
The slush syrup we supply is diluted at a ratio of 6:1. This means for every measure of syrup you use, you must use six measures of water.
Our slush syrups have been specially formulated for maximum flavour, so making sure you mix the correct amount of water and slush syrup will help ensure you continue to serve the best kind of slush to your customers.
Slush Syrup Dosage
Get experimental, you know how to get the perfect ratio for the best slush consistency, it’s time to get creative with some slush concoctions.
What about trialling a Tropical Cherry flavour? Complete with a glacé cherry and umbrella stick. An unusual combination but a real crowd-pleaser. Throw in some gimmicky props and really work on the presentation so you can push your new creation on social media, helping to drive in custom.
Or what about targeting the adults by adding a little tipple to your syrups? Our Pina Colada syrup works particularly well with rum, and Red Strawberry is a treat when served as a daiquiri.
